Winter Season Holiday Packages

The winter season is fast approaching, thus, the ski or snowboarding season also begins. Most people are planning to go away on a winter holiday. Whether in a low cost or luxurious way, with the family or with a group of friends, there are something for everyone to choose. Well, no one can blame them. The snowy mountains and the crisp clean air are very tempting. Imagine a snowball fight, laughing at your friend who falls in the snow, and most of all skiing! Almost everyone has their own plans for the winter holidays. But not everyone know what to do and where to look for the best holiday package.

For a budgeted or low cost holiday, Andorra or Bulgaria are among the best options. These are very ideal for beginners for them to master the art of skiing or snowboarding. This is also the best place to go if you’re looking a value for your money. There are a lot of travel related websites that offer a budget holiday package for everyone. Since it is specifically for a winter holiday vacation, it will be easier to search for a website that cater for winter holidays. Also if you follow our suggestion of going to either Andorra or Bulgaria, you won’t have a hard time finding for a cheap holiday package because you already know where you’re going. Some people are actually having trouble deciding on where to go.

If you are not really having a tight budget but won’t go for a luxurious one, then no worries. There are still winter package deals that offer a trip to Norway, Italy and other destinations. These are beautiful places for beginners and intermediates to go snowboarding or skiing. There are also winter holiday packages that caters to your need.

Well, if you have prepared for this winter season to go to an ultimate ski or snowboarding holiday with your friends or family, try booking for an entire chalet, get your own chef, steam room, jacuzzi, or outdoor hot tub if you’re lucky enough. There are travel related websites that offer an exclusive chalet for groups and families all around the world. There are also some great offers with some beautiful scenarios if you want to go to Europe, Austria, France or to the US and Canada.

Since the transfer from the airport to the mountain are usually expensive, you can consider renting a car for yourself. It will be more relaxing for you and you can take your time driving rather than rushed by a transfer. You can even be comfortable in here than getting cramped in a coach with other people. You also don’t have to wait when someone is being dropped off. So it will really be more wise for you to hire a car for easier transfer from the airport and to the mountain where you’ll be staying.

It would be cheaper if you go with a number of people and more fun also. Then you should also better rent a villa or a chalet if you’re with many people, aside from cheaper rentals, its great to have friends in a place you do not know of.

I need guidance on Eurail budget accommodations and like to explore alone – no packages please!!!?

I am 23 years old (Indian national) and want a month-long vacation in Europe around September and October (Is that the right season?????) – maybe I go in an off-season (lol). I just confirmed I am eligible for Youth Pass – I would like to use it for Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Romania, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

I need a one-stop resource for Budget hotels (not Hostels or B&B’s) at around $30-60 per day (Is it possible??) around Eurail destinations – also, I prefer Vegetarian food (How to arrange?)

Any help or inputs would be appreciated – thanks.

I think you’re VERY ambitious in your travel plans. I did eurail some years ago, spending a month like you plan to, and didn’t cover nearly this many countries. You will be exhausted and not really get to see very much – except from the windows of the train. I have to say, I’d advice you to try cutting it down a bit and choose either a northern or a southern (eastern or western) route. I think you would be happier with that choice in the end.
Vegetarian food shouldn’t be too much of a problem. Many restaurants offer vegetarian alternatives, and if you plan to ever make your own sandwiches f.ex., that will make it even easier.
Hotels at $ 30-60 per night might be difficult, but not impossible. Also you can consider sometimes riding the train at night and getting a “free” place to sleep that way.
Try www.etaphotel.com f.ex., and also try simply looking up budget hotel on Google. But you might want to consider not completely ruling out youth hostels. Many are of very good quality, and you can even get single rooms in many of them.
September-October is a bit late in the year, especially if you want to go to northern Europe as you say. In northern Europe June/July would be perfect for nice summer weather (although it’s always a gamble), whereas southern Europe might probably be nicer in May/June and again in September. These two periods I mentioned last are also a little off-season, so you can avoid the worst of the summer throngs.
Oh, another great tip – travel very light, you can always buy extra stuff under way if you need a new t-shirt or towel or whatever. And perhaps bring old stuff instead of new, that way you can just throw it away afterwards (like worn-out towels).
Good luck to you and I hope you have a wonderful vacation :-)
